Site Overview
This site explains and presents some basic physics. There are things that “everyone knows” but that are not always covered in detail in text books. A typical example is that
“it is the interaction of electric fields that create the forces between charges”, but have you ever seen the proof? It’s here in the pages on Electromagnetism.
This covers basic theory on electro- and magneto-statics, and electromagnetics. Click here for Electromagnetism.
Because of the wealth of alternative views gravity and gravitational fields are often tricky to get to grips with. The big problem is that we cannot experiment with
immense masses so even within the constraints of relativity theory there are a host of approaches. Click here for a description of gravity, and some of the simpler concepts such as black holes.

Note that the pages have been reformatted to make them easier to print. If you still have trouble printing some of the equations it may because some of these are images, so please
ensure that your browser is set to view images, and that printing is not dithered or otherwise processed.
